Plug-in battery · HYXI Halo AC

Store cheap power. Use it when it’s expensive.

Halo AC is a 3 kWh battery, expandable to 18 kWh, that plugs into a socket in your home. It charges when power costs less, gives it back when it costs more, and an AI decides the best moment on its own based on your tariff.

Set up in 5 minutes. No building work, no installer. And if the power goes out, your home keeps running.

How it works

Plug it in, pick your tariff and forget about it.

Your electricity bill depends on when you use power. Halo shifts part of your usage from expensive hours to cheap ones without you changing your habits.

1

Plug it in

It plugs into a socket at home and connects to your wifi. No fuse box work, no building work: about 5 minutes.

2

Tell it your tariff

In the app you choose your supplier and tariff, or PVPC if you’re on the regulated price. That tells it when power is cheap and when it’s expensive.

3

The AI does the rest

It charges in the cheap hours and discharges in the expensive ones. If prices change, it adapts on its own. You see the saving in the app.

Built-in backup

If the power goes out, your home keeps going.

Halo doesn’t just save you money on your bill. It comes with a built-in backup outlet to keep the important things running when the grid fails, with nothing else to buy.

Theoretical calculation: capacity ÷ connected load, without conversion losses. In practice it will be a little less. Maximum 1,500 VA output, or 3,000 VA if you add at least one module.

Peace of mind when you need it most

During a power cut you can keep the essentials running: fridge, router, lighting, chargers. It’s a standard feature, not an extra.

Expand

Start with 3 kWh. Grow to 18 kWh.

Add HYX-MS3000B battery modules whenever you need them, up to 5. Each module adds 3 kWh. Modules add energy and backup time; the power at the socket stays at 800 W.

Why Halo

Save on your bill and keep the lights on if the grid fails.

What matters when it’s in your home: it’s easy, it’s safe and it lasts.

800 W

Plug in and done

It delivers up to 800 W to your home through a socket. With 3 kWh stored, it covers almost 4 hours at full output, or many more at a typical home’s usage.

Backup

Power if the grid goes down

It includes an independent backup outlet of up to 1,500 VA. Plug the important things (fridge, router, lights) into that outlet, with nothing else to buy.

10,000

Built to last

10,000 cycles and a 10-year warranty. With one cycle a day, that’s more than 27 years of use.

5 levels

Real safety

LiFePO₄ chemistry, automotive-grade A+ cells, five levels of protection with built-in aerosol suppression, and IEC 62619 and UN38.3 certifications.

IP66

Handles any location

Protected against dust and water jets. Works from −20 °C to +55 °C and warms itself up when it’s very cold.

AI

Runs itself

The cloud AI optimises savings with your tariff and usage. Control it from the HYXi app via wifi and Bluetooth, with an LED light that shows its status. AI mode requires the meter.

Your tariff

Set it up with your tariff and see how much you save.

With the meter, Halo works in AI mode and is ready for PVPC. Without it, you set up a TOU schedule with your tariff’s time bands. Pick yours.

Ready for PVPC

The PVPC price is known the day before. Halo reads it, finds the cheapest hours to charge and the most expensive to power your home. The more the price varies between hours, the more you save.

Cloud AI algorithm

No schedules to set. The algorithm combines your tariff, the day’s price and your real usage to decide when to charge and when to discharge. AI mode requires the meter.

No meter, TOU mode

Without the meter, you set your tariff’s time bands in the app and Halo’s operating mode for each one. It works with free-market time-of-use tariffs.

Frequently asked questions

What people usually ask before buying.

Do I need solar panels?

No. Halo AC charges from the grid in the cheap hours, so the saving comes from the price difference between time bands. If you have solar, it can also store your surplus.

Does it really not need an installer?

It plugs into a socket and connects to your wifi, and you set it up in the HYXi app. The power at the socket is 800 W.

What if I change supplier?

You change the tariff in the app and the AI reorganises charging with the new prices.

How long will it keep my power on if the grid fails?

It depends on what you connect. With the unit’s 3 kWh, a fridge, router and lights adding up to 200 W would give about 15 theoretical hours; a bit less in practice because of losses.

Can I expand the battery?

Yes. With HYX-MS3000B modules of 3 kWh each, up to 5, you reach 18 kWh in total. Modules add energy and backup time; the power at the socket stays at 800 W and the backup outlet rises to 3,000 VA.

Do I need the meter?

For AI mode, yes. Without the meter you can use Halo in TOU mode: you set the time bands and operating mode in the app according to your contracted tariff.

How is the estimated saving calculated?

With one 3 kWh cycle a day, we multiply the price difference between peak and off-peak hours by that energy. It’s a gross estimate, without VAT or conversion losses, and your result depends on your usage.
